Hi ,

Crocodiles are resilient beasts that have survived some of Earth’s most challenging eras. But why has the crocodile lived through mass extinction events that dinosaurs and other reptiles could not endure?

A recent discovery in the Egyptian desert of the ancient crocodile cousin named Wadisuchus kassabi sheds light on this question of evolutionary endurance. Plus, the area where the fossils were found was submerged under prehistoric seawater 80 million years ago, and the habitat looked a lot different from modern crocodile homes.
